One of the perennial joys of racing is watching AP McCoy boot home another winner.
Yesterday he gave a riding masterclass at Newton Abbot and while it might be excruciatingly frustrating for rivals Richard Johnson, Jason Maguire et al, they will know that AP sets the standard.
This statistic will probably put a hex on him, but in 69 rides so far this season he has only had one fall.
This evening AP goes to Towcester for four decent rides: all with a winning chance. Little Fritz looks to be his best chance but who would bet against him booting home all four winners again?
Elsewhere on the card Alan King’s Cold Knight, who was once rated one of his best bumper horses, could be of each way interest in the 8.15pm.
Rocky Reef runs in Paul Mellon’s famous colours in the 5.15pm at Nottingham, and although he is no Mill Reef, he should step up on his seasonal reappearance if he handles the drying ground.
And tonight at Kempton Ukrainian looks like a typical Mark Johnston improver in the handicap at 8pm.
Good luck!
