DISAPPOINTING news this morning that Al Kazeem will miss Royal Ascot. He returned to form at the Curragh a few weeks ago landing the Tattersalls Gold Cup and was among the favourites for the Prince of Wales’s Stakes. But he returned from Ireland with an injury and will miss the royal meeting and the Eclipse. As for today, FIRST SITTING is the first selection. Formerly trained by Dermot Weld, he was a good second on his UK debut for David O’Meara and does not seem badly rated for his handicap debut at Hamilton (4.00). He will also appreciate the slow ground. The other tip is…
SIGHORA at Kempton tonight (7.55). She is among our horses to follow on our notebook list after a good third over the course a few weeks ago. She had earlier won by an easy nine lengths and may have needed the run recently.
The pair are worth an each-way interest.
PS Notebook horse Risk Adjusted (2.00 Ham) deserves to get off the mark after three narrow seconds while Bandit Country is a nice big horse for Jonjo O’Neill and is interesting at Ffos Las tonight (6.20).
Be lucky!
