THE appearance of Sprinter Sacre at Punchestown is the undoubted highlight of today but I’ll also be keeping a close eye on a couple of more modest meetings. CHILL FACTOR has run a couple of nice races in bumpers for Anthony Honeyball (pictured left) and goes in the last at Ffos Las. Connections have always thought a bit of this Oscar gelding and have been waiting for decent ground, which he should get today. It’s a tricky little contest and a chance can be given to all eight runners but Chill Factor should run a big race.
One other horse worth a mention is TOPAMICHI who runs in the last race at Yarmouth tonight. He is the outsider of nine runners and looks to have it all to do in a competitive race. But Mark Tompkins rated this fellow as his best two-year-old last season and thinks an awful lot of him. His horses tend to need their first run and I’ll be surprised if he wins first time out, but he is one to keep on the right side of as the season progresses.
