Dark horses: Stick with Paris Rose

haggasTHIS column highlighted the claims of William Haggas’ PARIS ROSE last month when she made her three-year-old
debut at Warwick. She ran well into
third and there was promise of more to come. Tonight she is sent on the long
trek from Newmarket to North Yorkshire for a lowly maiden at Ripon at 8.45 and the trip should pay off.

This filly still holds an entry in the Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot and has always been highly regarded. She should have no trouble winning her maiden before going in search of some black type.

Tonight at Kempton two horses bidding to get back on the winning trail are THE GATLING BOY and TARTARY.  The Gatling Boy has failed to stay in his two runs this term and reverts to 7f. With Ryan Moore in the saddle, he should go well.

Tartary won nicely over course and distance as a two year old and should be spot on with a couple of runs under her belt. She should run very well if she overcomes an average draw.
