Dark Horses: Whatever You Do…

richardhannonIT’S a huge week for Richard Hannon that could culminate in another 2,000 Guineas success with the impressive Toronado. But today there are more modest pickings at stake. WHATEVER YOU DO is a filly that has always worked well at Marlborough and she has shown some distinct promise in her three races. But the other day at Kempton she patently failed to stay a mile, so she is brought back in trip to 6f at Lingfield today (5.25pm). With Ryan Moore on board she should be very hard to beat.

In the next race it will be a big surprise if REQAABA fails to get her head in front, although she is likely to be a short price.

In the 6.25, A GOOD YEAR, who makes her debut, was described by John Hills as “the best mover in the yard” last summer while significant improvement on what they have shown so far would be no surprise from POINT OF CONTROL and DAMA DE LA NOCHE.

In the 6.10 at windsor a nice debut run from OGBOURNE DOWNS wouldn’t be a big surprise as he has been working  nicely.

And finally in the 4.20 at Wolverhampton, SAN GABRIEL should build on a promising debut run in the 1m maiden.
