START of a new feature. A Lucky 15 is my favourite bet. Four horses, 15 bets, comprising singles, doubles, trebles and one fourfold. Simples. Well, in theory. The hard bit is finding four winners at decent prices. Let’s have a go…

CASTLEACRE (1.50 Newmarket): A slight leap of faith going for this keen-going filly who cruised home in a maiden on the all weather at Newcastle before pulling a bit too hard in a better race at Newbury. She is around 9/1 and Hugo Palmer things an awful lot of her, so her mark of 93 could be generous. Akhlaaq is also unexposed and rates a big danger. Best price 9/1

SALATEEN (2.25 Newmarket): Ticks all the boxes apart from the fact he ran on Good Friday in the All Weather Championships when Ryan Moore almost stole the race. He loves fast ground and is a course winner. 11/4

SWORD EXCEED (5.15 Lingfield): He won so easily last time that I could have ridden him to victory at Lingfield. He is up 9lb and has an extra furlong to go but should follow up. 4/1

SEAMSTER (6.05 Ripon): It must be a hoot to own this tough little fella who ran 25 times in 2016. He was chinned on the line with this apprentice on board last week and can hopefully go one better. 9/4
